HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN WILL MARK HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL DAY

Thursday 23rd January 2025

Her Majesty The Queen, Patron, the Anne Frank Trust, will attend a reception hosted by the trust to mark Holocaust Memorial Day.

As a youth education charity, the Anne Frank Trust empowers young people aged 9 to 15 to recognise and challenge all forms of prejudice. Through an evaluation partnership with the University of Kent, the Trust has exceptionally strong evidence that its work has a significant, lasting impact on young people’s pro-social attitudes, knowledge about prejudice, and confidence to make a difference.

Holocaust Memorial Day is on 27th January, the date of liberation of Auschwitz by the Soviet Army in 1945. Otto Frank was one of the survivors liberated on that day, along with the Anne Frank Trust’s co-founder and Honorary President Eva Schloss. 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the end of the Holocaust and the death of Anne Frank.
