PRINCE HARRY TO COLLECT ATTITUDE LEGACY AWARD ON
BEHALF OF DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES

The Roundhouse, London

Thursday 12th October, 2017

Prince Harry will collect a posthumous Attitude Legacy Award on behalf of Diana, Princess of Wales, at the Attitude Awards on Thursday 12th October. Attitude Magazine is awarding the prize to the late Princess in honour of her significant work in drawing attention to HIV/AIDS.

The annual Attitude Awards, held at Camden’s Roundhouse, each year recognise the inspiring stories and outstanding achievements of some of the key leaders within the LGBT community. Money raised from the Awards, which are this year hosted by Tom Daley, will benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

Through the Attitude Legacy Award, and in the 20th anniversary year since Diana, Princess of Wales’ passing, Attitude Magazine hopes to acknowledge the important contribution the late Princess made to challenging the stigma and fear that surrounded HIV/AIDS in the 80s and 90s.

This year’s Legacy Award, the first of Award of the ceremony, will be introduced by Ian Walker, a former Senior Occupational Therapist at the London Lighthouse, and Julian La Bastide, a former nurse at the Mildmay Hospital. Both Ian and Julian will talk about their experiences of meeting Diana, Princess of Wales, and the legacy of her HIV/AIDS work, before inviting Prince Harry to collect the Award on behalf of his mother, and to deliver a short speech.
