PRINCE WILLIAM TO VISIT 2023 EARTHSHOT PRIZE FINALIST, COLORIFIX

Prince William will visit Earthshot Prize Finalist Colorifix, a UK based company which creates sustainable dye for clothing. His Royal Highness will be joined on the visit by Earthshot Prize Council Member Cate Blanchett.
Colorifix was a 2023 Earthshot Prize finalist for the category ‘Build a Waste Free World’ and use DNA sequencing and nature’s own colours to create sustainable dyes that reduce the fashion industry’s use of water and harmful chemicals. Chemically synthesized dyes have a negative impact on the environment as they seep into rivers, harm wildlife and use vast amounts of water resources, with fabric dyeing consuming five trillion litres of water globally every year, the equivalent of two million Olympic-sized swimming pools.
