The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry
To Celebrate World Mental Health Day
St James’s Palace and Buckingham Palace, London
Tuesday 10th October, 2017
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry will celebrate World Mental Health Day with two events on Tuesday 10th October.
The Duke and Prince Harry will firstly host a reception at St James’s Palace to celebrate the impact of Heads Together, and to thank all those who played a key role in the success of the campaign. Guests will include a number of the Heads Together runners, people who have shared their own mental health stories during the campaign including through the #oktosay film series, representatives from the Heads Together Charity Partners and The Royal Foundation, as well as those involved in the campaign’s delivery. Their Royal Highnesses will deliver speeches at this event.
That evening, The Duke and Duchess and Prince Harry will attend a reception at Buckingham Palace to celebrate the contribution of those working in the mental health sector across the UK. The event will recognise the progress, hard work and dedication of those determined to raise awareness of mental health issues over many years. It will also provide an opportunity for Their Royal Highnesses to thank those from the sector for the support they provide to so many going through difficult times in their lives. Guests have been invited from across the country, including by the UK’s leading mental health organisations. The Duke and Duchess and Prince Harry will hear more from the invited guests about their work in the mental health sector, and The Duke will deliver a short speech.
