THE PRINCESS ROYAL WILL VISIT NORWAY

Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal will visit Norway as Patron of the Anglo-Norwegian Resistance Commemoration Project.
During the two-day visit, Her Royal Highness will visit the Industrial Workers Museum at Vemork and lay a posy on the memorial to Operation GUNNERSIDE. Her Royal Highness will plant a tree and attend a reception with the British Ambassador to Norway at the British Ambassador’s Residence, where guests will include those linked to the Anglo-Norwegian Resistance Commemoration Project.
On Wednesday 22nd May the Princess Royal will visit Commonwealth War Graves in Vestre Gravlund where she will lay a wreath. She will visit the Norwegian Shipowners’ Mutual War Risks Insurance Association and will unveil a painting at the conclusion of her visit.
Her Royal Highness will also visit the Linge Club within Akershus Fortress in Oslo and meet members of the Norwegian Armed Forces, where she will unveil a painting representing the wartime ‘Coastwatchers’ that was donated by the Anglo-Norwegian Resistance Commemoration Project.
Her Royal Highness will conclude her trip to Oslo with a visit to the Resistance Museum in Akershus Fortress with His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon of Norway. The royal party will unveil a plaque to mark their visit.
