WIN a Signed Royal Lullaby CD
Sing it soft, sing it low. A new Royal baby is on the horizon and we are celebrating by giving away five copies of Olga Thomas’s beautiful new Royal Lullaby, released especially to commemorate the arrival of Baby Sussex. Olga Thomas is a world-renowned composer and supporter of Cruse Bereavement Care, a charity she holds very dear to her heart. She has spent many years donating her time, energy and creative musical craftsmanship on behalf of the charity. Cruse began a unique music programme, a tradition to give their patron, Her Majesty The Queen special gifts of music composed by Olga to commemorate the important events in the life of the Royal Household.
Over the years Olga has written many musical pieces for Cruse including Cruse’s anthem Restoring Hope and several of her pieces have been presented to Her Majesty The Queen. These include Themes of Life and Glory, a tribute to The Queen Mother, Celebration, an orchestral piece written to mark the marriage of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Olga also wrote the anthem Jubilation for the Diamond Jubilee, performed by Her Majesty’s Royal Marines Band Portsmouth (Royal Band). They have also recorded Royal Lullaby, a gift for Prince George as well as Lullaby for Princess Charlotte.
Olga became a number one iTunes Classical artist when she released Royal Platinum Love Song and again entered the top ten charts with the release of Royal Hollywood Love Song. Both songs were recorded with a 72-piece live orchestra in London and the results were spectacular!
Olga has worked with many amazing singers, who have been guest artists on her tracks, these include Number one classical soprano Joanna Forest, Les MisОrables star Daniel Koek, Welsh tenor Wynne Evans and stadium anthem singer Emily Hague.
To celebrate the birth of the new Royal Baby to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Olga has composed a new Royal Lullaby and this time has worked with Russian mezzo-soprano Maria Ostroukhova. Maria began her international career after winning the Michael Oliver Prize at the London Handel Competition in 2015. She has appeared in many operas from Monteverdi to Britten and has performed all over the world in prestigious venues such as Royal Festival Hall, Cadogan Hall, Brucknerhaus, Tchaikovsky Philharmonic Hall, Wigmore Hall and many others.
