Description
Can there be any better time to be in Great Britain than this amazing year, which sees us celebrating both the Olympic Games and the glorious 60 years of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign?
The Diamond Jubilee celebrations were packed with pomp and pageantry and every bit as magical as we had hoped. Even Her Majesty herself seems to have been overwhelmed, and after four days of being cheered by millions, The Queen responded with a landmark address to the nation during which she described events as “a humbling experience.”
You can relive that experience right here, in our special, picture-packed Royal Britain Diamond Jubilee supplement, which captures memories that will live forever in the minds of those who were there.
Elsewhere we look forward to the London Olympics and chart the many Royal connections to the event. Royal Britain is all about celebrating our grand national heritage and you’ll find other fascinating features on the history of both the Royal Borough of Greenwich and The Thames.
Future editions of Royal Britain magazine will keep you informed on what our ever-busy Royal Family are up to as well as exploring the fascinating history of past kings and queens. We’ll also be looking at famous homes and gardens with a Royal connection, and a whole lot more. Of course all of these features will be accompanied by wonderful, little-seen photography.
