THE DUKE OF CAMBRIDGE WILL ATTEND A SERVICE TO RECOGNISE FIFTY YEARS OF CONTINUOUS AT SEA DETERRENT

The Duke of Cambridge will attend a Service at Westminster Abbey to recognise fifty years of continuous deterrent at sea in his capacity as Commodore-in-Chief of the Submarine Service.

This service will recognise the commitment of the Royal Navy to effective peace-keeping through the deterrent over the past fifty years and to pray for peace throughout the world.

His Royal Highness will perform a reading at the service. The Duke of Cambridge became Commodore-in-Chief in 2006.
