The Duke of Cambridge to host reception for the under-20 England Football Team

Tuesday 7th September, 2017

The Duke of Cambridge, President of the Football Association, will host the Under-20 England football team at Kensington Palace on 7th September.

On 11th June, the Under-20 side became the first England team to win a football World Cup since 1966. The team, headed by coach Paul Simpson, beat Venezuela 1-0 in the Under-20 World Cup final at the Suwon World Cup Stadium in Korea.

The Duke is keen to highlight the impressive achievement of the team, and to congratulate the squad and also the support staff who contributed to the success.
