HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN WILL ATTEND A MUSICAL EVENING AT SALISBURY CATHEDRAL

Thursday 8th February 2024

Her Majesty The Queen, will attend a Musical Evening at Salisbury Cathedral to celebrate the work of local charities including The Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust, The Wiltshire Air Ambulance, and Community First – Youth Action Wiltshire, as well as the regimental charities of The Grenadier Guards and The Rifles.

The event will see award-winning concert pianist Rupert Egerton-Smith perform alongside The Band of The Grenadier Guards and The Band and Bugles of The Rifles. Salisbury Cathedral, Salisbury.

On arrival at Salisbury Cathedral, Her Majesty will be received by the Lord Lieutenant and the Reverend Canon Anna Macham (Precentor, Salisbury Cathedral).

Her Majesty will proceed to the cathedral cloisters where she will meet local dignitaries and frontline staff from the charities. Her Majesty will meet Rupert Egerton-Smith and the Directors of Music from the Bands of The Grenadier Guards and The Rifles.

Following a short reception, the Queen will enter the cathedral, greeted by a fanfare, process down the aisle and take her seat.
