
HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN WILL VISIT KINDRED STUDIOS

Her Majesty The Queen will visit Kindred Studios’ Shepherds Bush pop-up hub, an art studios and creative space encouraging arts, crafts and community cohesion.
On arrival, the Queen will be received by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant, Kevin McGrath, and Founder of Kindred Studios, Angelique Schmitt.
Her Majesty will tour the studios, meeting with west London artists known as ‘Kin’ from painters and ceramicists to textiles/ fashion designers as well as bursary recipients who have been supported by Kindred Studios.
During the tour, the Queen will learn about the vocational support offered by artists to young people at Kindred Studios. One artist will share his personal journey of recovery from addiction and homelessness and how it inspired his work to rehabilitate others through art.
Her Majesty will witness the variety of materials used at the studios and view artworks from wooden board games to striking portraits.
The Queen will then proceed through the garden where a Bulgarian choir will be performing before joining a reception with artists and creatives.
The visit will conclude with a group photograph of Her Majesty and reception guests.
