THE KING AND THE PRINCE OF WALES WILL ATTEND THE SERVICE FOR THE ORDER OF THE BATH IN ITS 300TH ANNIVERSARY YEAR

His Majesty The King, Sovereign Head of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, and His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, Great Master of the Order, will attend a Service for the Oath and Installation of the Great Master and the Knights Grand Cross. This is His Majesty’s first service as Sovereign.
Established in 1725, by Letters Patent of George I, today members of the Order of the Bath include military officers and senior civil servants.
The Prince of Wales will be installed as Great Master of the Order during the ceremony, which will include the oath taking and installation of five Knights.
The King and the Prince of Wales will be received at the Great West Door of the abbey, before joining the procession of the Officers and Knights and Dame Grand Cross through the church, to take their seats in the Quire.
His Majesty and His Royal Highness will later process to the Henry VII Lady Chapel for the Installation ceremonies.
