THE KING AND QUEEN WILL HOST A RECEPTION FOR NEW MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT AND MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF LORDS AT BUCKINGHAM PALACE

Wednesday 29th January 2025

The King and Queen will welcome hundreds of newly elected Members of Parliament and ennobled Peers from across the House of Lords to Buckingham Palace for a reception in the Ballroom.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester will join Their Majesties at the reception.

The Prime Minister, The Rt. Hon. Sir Keir Starmer M.P. and Leader of the Opposition, The Rt. Hon. Kemi Badenoch M.P. will also attend.

During the reception, Their Majesties and Their Royal Highnesses will meet the elected MPs following last year’s General Election, and Peers who have been appointed to the House of Lords following the coronation of the King and Queen in May 2023.
