PRINCE HARRY TO OPEN GREENHOUSE SPORTS CENTRE

MARYLEBONE, LONDON

Thursday 26th April, 2018

Prince Harry will officially open the Greenhouse Centre, which will provide sport, coaching and social facilities for young people in the surrounding community.

The centre, run by Greenhouse Sports, will provide a safe place where young people will receive intensive coaching designed to improve their future life outcomes and raise their aspirations.

During the opening, Prince Harry will receive a tour of the facilities and meet some of the young people taking part.

Housed in a Grade II* listed converted church in Marylebone, London, the centre will be accessible to local schools and community members of all ages, and will provide opportunities to work with high quality coaches and to become active. The Greenhouse Centre will also be the home for a national table tennis performance club in partnership with Table Tennis England.

Greenhouse Sports was the first delivery partner in London for Coach Core, the national coaching apprenticeship scheme run by The Royal Foundation. During his visit, Prince Harry will get the opportunity to meet with Coach Core apprentices who have been supported by Greenhouse Sports.

Greenhouse Sports has a successful history in delivering meaningful sport programmes for young people who are disengaged, vulnerable or growing up in disadvantaged communities, coaching more than 40,000 participants since 2002.
