HIS MAJESTY THE KING WILL VISIT A POLISH COMMUNITY CENTRE
Wednesday 5th February 2025
The King will visit the Polish Social and Cultural Association, POSK, viewing a newly opened art exhibition and attending a reception with members of the Polish community in the UK.
Founded in 1967, POSK is the largest Polish centre in Europe. The centre, which is open to all nationalities, provides a community space to celebrate and promote Polish culture.
The King will be met by the Polish Ambassador to the UK, Piotr Wilczek, and the Chairman of POSK, Marcin Kalinowski. His Majesty will view a newly opened art exhibition in The POSK Gallery, showcasing the work of Polish artist Felix Fabian.
Following a tour of the gallery, the King will attend a community reception. His Majesty will meet guests including representatives of Polish organisations, World War Two veterans, business leaders, social workers, teachers and folk-dance performers. The reception will feature music, stalls showcasing traditional crafts and Polish cuisine prepared by the centre’s restaurant, Lowiczanka.
During the visit, His Majesty will hear from staff, volunteers and community members about the significance of the centre and the impactful work they do to strengthen the Polish community in the UK.
