The Duchess of Cornwall, as Colonel-in-Chief, and The Royal Colonels, The Countess of Wessex, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, The Duke of Kent and Princess Alexandra, will attend the biennial Rifles Awards Dinner at the City of London Guildhall.

The Duchess of Cornwall and members of the Royal Family will be greeted by the Colonel Commandant, General Sir Patrick Sanders, and the Commanding Officers of Their Royal Highnesses’ respective Battalions.

Their Royal Highnesses will join members, veterans and specially invited guests for a reception in the Print Room.

In the Great Hall, The Colonel Commandant will give a short welcoming address and The Duchess of Cornwall will say a few words.

Bugle Major Lewis will conduct a short display with the Band of Bugles before dinner is served.

Since The Duchess’s appointment as Colonel-in-Chief last year, Her Royal has visited all five regular battalions and plans to visit the remaining three reserve battalions soon.

Last month, The Duchess of Cornwall, met Riflemen and their families and presented a number of service medals during a visit to 3rd Battalion The Rifles in Edinburgh.

The role of Colonel-in-Chief of The Rifles transferred from The Duke of Edinburgh to The Duchess of Cornwall in July 2020. A short ceremony at Windsor Castle and Highgrove House marked the occasion.
